DON’T USE BUG SPRAY, TOOTHPASTE OR CLEARCOAT!

If you have used bug spray, toothpaste or Clearcoat, there is still hope.

Bug sprays contain a chemical that dissolves the plastic/polycarbonate and ruins the optics of the car lens. The plastic becomes sticky and begins to melt. Clearcoat likewise ruins the lens in the long run as it expands at a different rate than polycarbonate and can cause fine cracks.

We know this and that’s why we developed LenzSaver.

If your lenses were treated with these wrong solutions you may be able to fix them properly with LenzSaver if they’re not too far gone. You’ll need to begin by getting all the Clearcoat or bug spray chemicals off with the sanding step that comes with LenzSaver.
